Walks dug the Rebels into a 3-0 hole in the first inning. Taxed with hard situation, Carson Lemerande was able to pitch out of the inning to keep the score at 3-0. When the Rebels came to bat in the bottom of the first inning, a Walker Winkelman triple to right would score Carson Lemerande. Brody Hoffman would then double down the right field line to drive home Winkelman. A good piece of situational hitting by Reegan Roy would tie the game on an RBI groundout. A costly three run error in the 2nd inning would give Columbus Catholic three free runs, but the Rebels bats would answer once again to cut the Don lead to 7-5. Lemerande pitched very well, but was let down by his defense. Columbus Catholic would score seven runs with two outs in 6th inning with the Rebels out of arms. The score says 15-5, but the game was competitive until the end.
