The Rebels exploded for six runs in the first inning, getting hits on four of the first eight pitches of the game. After a big inning, however, the Rebel bats would cool down and Gogebic would chip away the entire game. Gogebic would score in every inning, allowing them to get the 9-8 victory. The Rebels were victim to two questionable calls late in the game that on top of the walks, did not help matters.
